The mission of the Voelcker Biosciences Teacher Academy (VBTA) is to create a network of empowered educational professionals who work collaboratively to improve math, science, and health education by:

  • Disseminating information to teachers
  • Offering professional development opportunities
  • Establishing mentor networks
  • Offering strategies for best practices
  • Creating a student culture that promotes independent, active,
    lifelong learners

Juliana Berry

Mrs. Berry is a 5th grade teacher at Converse Elementary School in Judson ISD and a former teacher leader for the VBTA. Mrs. Berry is not only an outstanding teacher in the classroom, she is also an outstanding teacher to other educators. Congratualtions, Mrs. Berry, this award is well deserved!
